In the heart of the Exumas, Bahamas, is a private island like no other. A safe haven paradise, providing perfect tranquillity, nestled within pristine turquoise waters. Heaven on earth.

L’île d’Anges (also known as Goat Cay) has been nurtured and lovingly imagined to provide first class, beautiful, clean and elegant accommodation which embraces and perfectly fits with a tropical living lifestyle.

The island itself extends to some 20 acres with almost 1.3 miles of water frontage. The main residence is at a high point in the centre of the island next to two beautiful white sandy beaches, which connect on either side of the island through the abundant palm trees.

Commanding the high point on the island, the principal residence has the most spectacular panoramic views, whilst giving a feeling of refuge and peace in its elevated position well above the water.

The path from arrival on the main beach, sweeps up to the house and the clean, dazzling whitewashed walls and observation tower give a theatrical, impressive Mediterranean feel to the main entrance. Through the main entrance a grass internal courtyard softens the bright architecture and is cooling during the summer.

There is almost 5,000 sq ft of breezy, open, covered verandas and passageways that serve to interconnect the 8 individual ‘pods’ of the 6,517 sq ft principal residence.

The open plan accommodation has been thoughtfully designed and conveys both volume, intimacy and bi-folding doors allow for an inside-outside feel that is so perfect for the summer climate in the Bahamas.

The ‘great room’ main reception space is ideal for family use or indeed for entertaining, with the living room opening onto the pool terrace.

There is a wonderful main bedroom suite and three further bedroom suites which are stand alone, yet connected by the open covered walkways. One of the bedrooms, next to the main bedroom has been designed as a large children’s bedroom (dorm/bunk) and has two bathrooms.

On the main beach are two ‘yurts’, initially built as temporary accommodation, but which provide further excellent high quality, beach front accommodation for guests who want to fall asleep to the sound of gently lapping waves.

At the northern end of the island, supporting the running of the property is almost 6,000 sq ft of secondary and ancillary accommodation, back of house and storage, including 3 island villas (each with two bedroom suites) for guests or staff, plus further buildings for engineering facilities and mechanical storage.

There is also a private dock.
